Our club was born on 17 February 2007, one year before the 2008 Football World Cup beginning!
We became Queensland and Gold Coast Champions in 2007, one Year before the Iphone was introduced to the market!

2007 Simul against GM Dejan Antic from Serbia (2520). 25 Players participated at Italo-Australian soccer club.
2009 Simul against Super Grandmaster Alexei (2737) Shirov from Spain. 26 Players took a part in one of the biggest events in Australia.

Joe Kingston at age 85, born in 1925 just around 300 Years before Ruy Lopez has written 1st chess book. Joe Kingston is a local hero like Don Kihot for Spaniards
Joe Kingston is a famous Chess player, who won his game against Grandmaster Lajos Portisch in a simultaneous game, 20 Years ago and player who became a Vice Champion of Kings of chess club Championship in 2008.
